If you own a home near Deep Creek, have you decided it was worth it?

was wondering this same thing, so I thought i'd bump this thread to see if it would get any responses.

I was actually wondering the same thing when I was there a few weeks ago.

We do, and definitely think it was worth it. We rent our house out though, so we make some money back (though not enough to cover the mortgage). It is a place where our family and friends can gather and that part has been great. We tend to do a week with extended family in the summer and a week around the winter holidays with friends (for skiing, etc), and we go up at least one weekend a month the rest of the year. I like having a refuge outside of the city where we can escape every so often. It recharges me.
