I already paid a pretty penny for their delivery and installation.
Three coming today: Fridge, range, dishwasher. I have no cash on hand, so trying to figure if I need to run out and get some. Or if these guys are paid pretty well already. |

I always do. Generally 20-25/person depending on what I have on hand and how many show up. I am not wealthy but there’s a lot of precarity in these delivery jobs (they usually don’t get paid for days they don’t work) and the work is hard to do after a certain age.
I usually hand it to one and say “for both/all of you.” I also offer water/bathroom. Worth noting I recently had two counter guys who seemed unbelievably grateful for some snacks and drinks they could take on the road. I think they work really long days, with back-to-back orders, so don’t always have time to stop. |
| I agree with the above. I always give them a tip and offer them a drink and snack. |
| No. And it's weird to offer them food/drink. Just leave them alone. |
No it's not. You just have no manners. OP, yes I always tip those guys about $20-30 each. I also tip movers, cleaning people and repair people when they work on my house. |
| Two guys showed up to install the washer and dryer and I gave them $20 each. I did not tip the plumber who came to install the dishwasher. |
| No, I don't tip handymen or delivery men. |
I’m one of the tippers above. I don’t tip handymen or other independent contractors bc usually all the $$ goes directly to them. It’s different for delivery/install. |
This seems right |
| I would tip them $20 each. |
| God stop tipping everyone. Servers/delivery at restaurants and no one else. |
| Unless the delivery person goes above and beyond, no. |
| $20 each I think is typical. You don't get appliances that often. |
| no. |
| Yes, $20 each. |
