Donations to TSA workers

Folks are donating foods and items for TSA workers. Have DC area airports started collecting donations too?

Why would we care?

Why wouldn't we care?

Should we give them tips when going through security?

They need their paychecks not one off donations.

No way. One of them was so mean to me once. I remember thinking it's part of your job!! I don't like them at all.

We don't even need them. I hope TSA is eliminated like USAID

Instead of donating to TSA workers I think we should report them for car tax evasion 🤣

Op Id love to help them out too. It’s an important and unappreciated role. If you don’t like TSA, take that up with bin Laden and that Reed fellow.

I don't know how important a role it is, when there's no consistency. Last time I flew across the country, at one airport I didn't have to take off my shoes. At the other airport coming home I did. Some airports have dogs, some don't. One time I had to throw out my packet of Justin's peanut butter, another time I didn't. All within the US. There's just zero consistency.

I don't blame them for their existence but I think the government needs to pay its workers.

I think they should quit and I hope there are same pay alternatives for them.

It's reprehensible that Congress would allow workers to go unpaid and make citizens essentially pay twice for TSA services.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of TSA is just "security theater". I'm not convinced it does much.

Congress should pay workers during shutdowns.

Would you put your child on a plane with no security?
