| Are there usually spots in 8th grade at Field? Do they offer much support beyond extra time for kids with ADHD? Looking for feedback from current families. |

In the past yes there were spots. Now however, Field has an active wait list. You can always call to see if someone has moved, etc.
For ADHD, you will still need to have your own executive fx support outside school to teach your kid the skills they will need to succeed in MS, HS and beyond. What Field does well for all kids, not just ADHD, is chunking of large projects, an assigned advisor that gets alerted of any missing assignments or poor grades and pretty much unlimited office hours and extensions. |
It’s probably worth applying. I mean, there probably aren’t many applicants and there probably aren’t many spaces for eighth grade. But if they like your kid and you’re full pay it probably helps. |
| Field will complete construction on a new building in less than a year. I imagine several new classrooms will lead to more eighth grade expansion than in previous years. The best way to attract kids for high school is to admit them in middle school. |
| I agree - I would apply. With some parent support and working closely with DC's advisor you can make it work well with ADHD (as noted above) |
| Field is a gem |
Absolutely agree! It’s been a great fit for our child. Definitely worth considering |
