Can someone recommend a grass seed to order online for a shady spot in NWDC?

| I live in the Palisades and my backyard does not get great sun. I keep reading on this page and elsewhere that the grass I can order from Home Depot or Amazon is not sufficiently "local" such that it will be optimal here. I'd like to overseed the really shady part of the lawn. I prefer to order online because I can't get to American Plant anytime soon. Any suggestions of what specific seed to buy for NWDC? Thanks. |

I’m not sure there is a local mix for shady areas like there is for sunny (where there are a variety of midatlantic specific fescues).
I’d just order one of the Jonathan Green Black Beauty shade varieties. |
