| Are AP teachers reviewing? With shorten class times (early dismissal), what are teachers planning in their classes? |
| Not much honestly. Perfectly fine for HS kids to just stay home. Many kids will be absent so hard to cover anything new |
Why aren’t you teaching? |
| Everything as planned but I will just skip Social Studies and Science and FIT Time so I can cover ELA and Math. |
| Such a dumb question. MCPS seriously has some of the dumbest parents. I miss private school. |
| Keep your kids home. There will be no real instruction tomorrow. |
|
My plans haven’t changed. I’m still covering the same content. I just won’t get through as much of it.
I posted my notes online for students who are absent. -hs teacher |
Bye then. No one is making you stay public |
| I will be getting as much as I can in! Why not? |
| I plan on going over storm safety tips in my high school English class. We do an excellent job at telling them how to stay safe at school, someone needs to tell them how they can stay safe at home |
|
You send them. I teach them
. |
Because I guarantee you at least half of my students will not be there. We will do stuff but it will be a light day |
| ES teacher here. We will fit in as much as we can, the pacing guides are strict. |
Also factor in that when you have 24 minute classes, the reality becomes that unless you are engaging in death by powerpoint or a teacher dominated lecture, you have zero time for any actual discussion or student led techniques for understanding. It becomes a waste. |
Really? What a waste of a high school English class. |
