Why was a thread removed?

I was in the middle of reading a very insightful and thought-provoking thread that a poster had started on here. It was gone when I came back to read the rest of the replies after work. I’m assuming this means that it was removed from the website entirely. I’m wondering what causes threads to be removed because I didn’t see anything wrong with this one.

Sorry, I don’t remember the exact title of the thread. It was the one in health & medicine about hospitals denying women TV ultrasounds due to lack of previous s***** activity.

I read this too, it was titled Virgin Refused Transvaginal Ultrasound or similar. I assume it was removed because it was a troll?

Thank you! That could be the case. I was more so interested in reading the replies because I didn’t know this happens in this country and was slightly appalled at the notion.
