Ugh…4 pm flight tomorrow

Weather is not looking promising. Trying to decide if I should bite the bullet and change the flight for earlier in the day- but it’s a $200 fee and my connecting would stay the same so I’d just have a longer layover.

It’s going to be above freezing. What do you think will happen?

We’re supposed to get tornadoes tomorrow afternoon

Clearly you haven’t heard the severe storm and tornado warnings for tomorrow afternoon.

This is me again. I’d take my chances and leave the flight as is.

I wasn’t aware that severe weather only happens when the weather is above freezing. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, there are other concerns.

Depends on how desperate you are for an on time arrival.
Anonymous
For me it would depend on where you’re going and the schedule

OP needs to post where they are going. Or we need to let this thread die.

We’re all gonna die tomorrow!

OP, I'm in the same situation (maybe even the same flight?) If the flight is delayed I'll miss my connection. What do you think the chances are that the airline (Southwest for me) will post a travel alert, allowing for free changes?
Anonymous
Op here- I’m trying to wait to see if the airline (United) might offer changes. Going to Tucson- so not many options- though I could fly into Phoenix if needed.

I think I farted $200 the other day. I would go ahead and make the change.

I think a ground stop is very possible, causing delays if not canceled flights. If you need to be somewhere by Monday night/Tuesday morning, I would call Southwest to see if you can book an earlier flight. I wouldn’t wait for a text saying you can rebook without a charge, because everyone will get that notice and there simply aren’t enough vacant seats for everyone on earlier flights.
