New to DCUM - Question

I’m new to the forum so I’m still just trying to get the feel of the interface. One question though: why is the entire homepage dominated by political pieces written by the same person? All very low engagement. Do recent topics about anything else appear on the main feed?

DCUM is owned/operated by Mr. Steele, who writes on the main page. He started writing about the threads with the most engagement a few years ago (IIRC), but has moved on to writing about the Trump administration since his election.

Well, the forum are dominated by topics started by me. I'm quite prolific.

There are a few different components to DCUM that might interest you. The home page has a blog which for the past year has been exclusively authored by me and focused on the Trump administration. 20 years ago or so when we created DCUM, we had planned the home page to be used by anyone interested in offering posts about parenting topics. That lasted a few years until the bloggers all moved on to better things. At that time, I tried to keep it active but ran out of parenting ideas about which to write. Eventually, just to keep some fresh content on the home page, I started summarizing the most active threads. When the most active threads all started to be about Trump, I changed the focus of the blog to what you see currently.

Which is the list of all the forums in our main section (we also have a lightly used Nanny Forum section). Here you will find the large variety of discussion forums we host.

Many users prefer the Recent Topics page:

Which lists topics that have recently been updated. That's how you can keep track of topics across all forums.

However, the Political Discussion forum is not included in Recent Topics because it would dominate the list. So, the last page that might be of interest is:
