Just wondering how the booking and travelling experience was. Tried to book with three different credit cards - two declined the payment and the third sent a pin that we used to make the payment, but nothing went through even though the screen displayed “you’re booked!”
I tried calling customer service and waited 45 minutes for what was announced as a 25 minute wait, and had to hang up. |
| It’s a discount carrier - about what you’d expect. |
| If you try to “manage my booking” does the booking come up? |

I giggle every time I see Aer Lingus.
Makes me think of the old Colonel Lingus skit on SNL with Christopher Walken. |
| I flew them in January and no such issues. Everything was fine, except for having to be in the middle seat because I booked at the very last minute. |
| I flew Aer Lingus a couple of months ago to Europe and it was totally fine. It didn't even seem particularly discount in service - just a normal airline. Everything was very smooth for check in and travel itself. |
The booking didn’t go through - I don’t have a booking ref number. |
| We flew them last month and the service was great. We are an airline family - so no booking experience. But the flight attendants were excellent, and actually went above and beyond what we do on the safety side of things. (Really strict on… everything). I appreciate this. We don’t need the jokes, we need safety first with customer service. I don’t think it is considered a discount carrier. |
No, it isn't. It's Ireland's national airline and flagship carrier. |

My college-age DD goes to school in Ireland so we have lots of experience with Aer Lingus -- have not had booking problems like this. But they partner with American Airlines so you could try booking through them. We sometimes do that when AA is less expensive (which happens).

| Have flown Aer Lingus many times, all positive experiences. Just booked a flight with them and had no problems. |
| You'll need the luck of the Irish for your booking to go through! |
