| Heads up: Some of your are about to lose your WFH status because you're failing to do your daily work summaries. So simple, so basic and you are going to ruin it for the rest of the team. You need to provide a detailed daily summary, type it as you go and submit it daily. Please get it together. I don't understand how you are "forgetting" this. You won't be "forgetting" having to come to the office daily, I promise you that. |
| Did you mean to post this internally? Because it’s useless to post it here. |
| Are you posting from 2025 |
What are you on about and why do you sound gleeful? |
Yes, this is weird. My workplace doesn't require daily summaries. If you're supervising people and they aren't doing a job requirement, talk to them. |
| Is this referring to the "three things you accomplished" emails that the feds were doing last year? |
| It’s pretty easy to whip up something like this in AI, and it isn’t like the manager is going to scrutinize them that much, they should have better things to do |
The Five things email was weekly, not daily, and it got scrapped pretty quickly. |
|
Huh?
I don’t have to produce daily work summaries. My last performance review went well. I got a raise and a bonus. But thanks? |
| This sounds very specific to your job, OP. It sounds like you are a government worker and this is specific to your agency or division within an agency. Send the PSA to your co-workers, not to the entire internet! |
I don't think OP is a government worker because he said "Some of your are about to lose your WFH status". Feds workers are not allowed to WFH. |
|
Daily summary? Glad I don’t work where you do.
PS people who “forget” to do daily summaries, whatever that is, are also the same people who are going to “forget” to do any actual work while they’re in the office. Some of them might forget to show up to begin with, or will badge in and then go home. |
| If you think people like this can’t waste time on the office, you aren’t remembering 2019 accurately. |
| That’s sounds stupid. If you hired them, trust them to do their job. That daily summary is wasting valuable time. |
+1. Management should have an organic or at least more efficient means to know if an employee's job is getting done. You are being too hands off as a leader if you need to be spoon fed a redundant recap. |
