Would love opinions on the two for giving birth and their hospital affiliated OBGYN practices.
Both are the same distance from my home. I like GW's reputation for excellent patient centered care, but VHC doesn't seem that far off. I'm worried that there are just too many GW OBs and that I won't have a chance to get to know them as well as the ones at VHC. |

had two great deliveries at GW. can't compare to VHC.
I saw the MFMs during pregnancy, first pregnancy i saw a few OB last trimester but otherwise only MFM. I don't think meeting the OB is advance honestly matters- i had at least 4 shifts of MD or midwive my first labor, i think same the second... i can vividly tell you who delivered my first baby and honestly can't tell you the name of the attending for the second (she almost popped herself out after waking from an epidural nap 23+ hours into an induction-- i know there were 2 residents that came in to basically catch her and an attending joined briefly... first labor was very different and a lot more time and hands on with the providers). i'm glad i wasn't overly strongly attached to any single provider. what mattered most for my experience was the nurses- who took great care of me |
