| ugh wonder if all the construction disrupted the roots to make trees vulnerable to to falls. I drive that road tons. really freaky and sad |

The book Fuzz has a chapter about the death rates from falling trees and it’s astoundingly high. It seems like we lose at least one person each year in this area to falling trees. There were a couple particularly tragic incidents I recall (nearly a whole family killed; a small child walking with their parent killed in front of them). It often happens after rain.

| My son had a large tree branch fall on his car on the Clara Barton parkway. He was miraculously uninjured but the car was very badly damaged. It wasn’t raining or windy when it happened. |
