BoE work session on programs and boundaries in 30 minutes. What will MCPS present? No clue because they don't post their slides or other materials in advance.
They had also stopped publishing memos responding to BoE questions for most of last year. It looks like they started that again for 2026 after people complained. https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/boe/meetings/memorandum/ |
| The BOE routinely fails to follow its own outlined expectations, policies or procedures. There's no consequence to them for this. |
| Why do you need the presentation in advance of the presentation? |
Because their policy on their site sets these expectations: *Agenda will be available seven days prior to the Board Business meeting. *Board Business meeting materials will be available in BoardDocs four days prior to the meeting. |
| It's up now |
| The reasoning against Option F in the boundary study seems ridiculous. Basically amounts to "the map is not pretty" rather than any negatives with regards to proximity, stability, utilization or proximity. |
To prepare and ask questions of our elected officials. When you hide the ball, you’re hiding from questions. |
(This is in regards to the Woodward study) |
Maybe they think *no one* is watching? |
Taylor made the FY26 and FY25 Operating Budgets private behind password protection. He's all about shutting out the public from public information. |
+1 |
Well, it's not that they think no one is watching. It's just that they've decided that the small group of engaged parents and community members that is watching is not big enough and significant enough to matter, so they dismiss them. |
| Nice of Rita to show up to work today. |
Clearly not based on the FAA policy. Elongated, wraparound? |
| When will the recording of the meeting be posted? I’d like to hear what the conversation was about Option F. |
