Interim Reasonable Accommodation

Anyone had their reasonable accommodation kept on interim status for almost a year? Not sure what to make of that at our agency. It doesn’t seem anyone is going final and I’m wondering what the advantages to them of them keeping us all in limbo.

mine gets reevaluated every 6-9 months; others at same agency 12 months. It is never permanent.

On "interim status" means you can continue to telework before a decision is made? That does not seem a bad deal for many people.

Are you at SEC? My colleague has been on interim status at the SEC for 6-7 months now and I am also curious when decisions are getting made.

Yes- seriously, it is taking forever to adjudicate these cases!

They are not permanent and are done on a yearly basis at mine.

I have been dealing with extreme, chronic flatulence (diagnosed.) As a result, I requested and received the ability to sit in a phone cubby with closing door in what is otherwise an open plan office. Now my employer wants to take away this accommodation and I concerned how I will be reaccepted into the community.
