| Where did you take your teen for the doctor when they graduated from pediatrician? Any NW/Bethesda area doctor recommendations? |
| I realize pediatricians can treat a 21 year old, but I discontinued with the pediatrician for my 2 sons around the age of 12 -13. I took them to a family practice physician. |
| Capitol Medical Group has young adult medicine as well. |
| MedStar Health at Tenleytown transitions children from Pediatrics to Adolescent Medicine at 13 years old. Dr Kirsten Hawkins is excellent. |
| Pediatric Care Center also has the teen and young adult center and they see patients on a different floor than the kids. |
| My entire family goes to the same general family medicine practice. My kids started in elementary school. Are you happy with your doctor? Start there. |
This - it's called the Teen and Young Adult Care Center. Our college kids still go there https://share.google/RcqfF4HyPjlwQTlSJ |
It looks great except that they don't take most insurance and charge a $75 yearly fee. |
| Capitol medical group adult care has been a hot mess the past few years with them not being able to keep any clinicians. |
Yeah. What the heck is going on??! |
| Mine went to Kelly Goodman's practice, which is an NP practice. We go there as well, supplemented by specialists when needed. There is an annual admin fee but they do take insurance. |
Hi Kelly! Nice to see you advertising here all the time! |
| Mine went to their ped thru college and then they found someone at one medical. |
They take Aetna, which we have, they have their own space upstairs, away from the little ones, and the docs are great. |
Where are you seeing that they take Aetna? It’s not listed on their website. |
