| What are current/former parents honest thoughts? I have not heard good things and want DS to have as much info as possible - is it all gossip from players who got cut, or truth to the statements about nasty negative environment? |
| The general sense is that Arlington is trying to show that ECNL boys is good, and so the coaches are going harder to try to drive the boys to MLSN-level excellence. But because you cannot fight the flight, the coaches come across as mean and impatient because they are naturally left with only the bottom 2/3 of the talent pile. |
which coach are you asking about? or you just want general feedback about boys side? |
Where is the talent in top 1/3 talent in Arlington/DC going? MLS Next does not carry that much weight. |
Alexandria. Springfield. Any of the newer MSLN clubs. Brighter future than ECNLB. |
Right. Been at Arlington for many years and have had several different coaches across travel, super y and futsal. I don't think there is any one size fits all description of the coaches as they are all very individual. As do toxicity, I think you need to call that out specifically if you want genuine feedback. If you just want a flame, I'm sure someone will provide that in short order -- perhaps our very summary and unfounded "2/3 of the pile" pp can provide that service, free of charge. |
I don't think this has anything to do with it. In fact I think Arlington benefits at the HS ages because kids want to play HS soccer and realize if they havent been picked up by the MLS Academy Teams by HS its unlikely they will be pros. I think overall the ECNL coaches are very good but they aren't immune to the politics that every other club has. |
Wow. That's quitting before really getting started. |
I'm sure the Arlington teams can beat Achilles and West Virginia of the MLS Next on any day, Alexandria, BA and Bethesda on some days MLS Next rosters can only fit so many and many could make the rosters but are playing at places like Arlington for different reasons |
Top to bottom best group of boys coaches in the DC area Seem disinterested in anything but developing strong players and winning games |
| It a matter of “when” and not “if” for the club to join MLS Next it seems like in the current climate |
That's certainly been the rumor but even if this is true I don't see them coming in for anything less than MLS Next HG. |
That is what theyd get And then theyd have to revert back on age change

Right. More chaos. Smh |
