Transitional kindergarten

Looking for a transitional kindergarten program, preferably in the Arlington area. By transitional kindergarten I mean something like a 5 year old preschool class, ideally not grouped with younger kids.
Looking for a list of programs but if any recent experience, all the better. |

| The Harbor School has a fantastic one (they call it Junior kindergarten) but it’s in Potomac MD so may be too far for you. |

| Not in the Arlington area but in case anyone in MoCo or DC is looking, Takoma Park Cooperative Nursery is offering a bridge year for kids who are 5 but would be on the younger end if they started kindergarten. I believe they would also work with families who simply want to keep their kids in a preschool/outdoor environment for an additional year regardless of birthday. |
