| I’ve been dating a woman for 3 months. It’s been going well. Then out of the blue I got an insane text from her threatening gin violence. I am freaked out! We’ve never had an argument. I assume maybe she meant to send it to someone else? Either way I am freaked out, Would you just block and delete? |

I would not assume that text wasn't meant for you. I would call and report it to the police. I would not block because you want to know if the behavior escalates and you need serious protection. |

I likely would let her know that I received her text & was confused re: the meaning.
Then based on whether she had a good excuse or not for sending it, I would act accordingly. But I would want an explanation from her just to satisfy my curiosity first. Please keep us updated & let us know what she said. |

Does she have mental health issues? Someone with bipolar or schizophrenia might send this type of a text while manic or in psychosis

I would. Give her a chance to explain herself first. Does she have any kids?? Maybe one of them was playing w/her phone. Can you give us a clearer idea of what the text actually stated? Because w/out the necessary context, it is kinda difficult to give you a definite response to this. |

OP here. I have never known about her having mental health issues. Nothing she has done has been off until now.
I don’t think this text can be explained away. |
