| Do you just accept the offer if you don't even know who will be the team's coach? |
| I wouldn't. |
| Red flag |
| Even if you know now, doesn’t mean it doesn’t change by August. It’s happened to us twice. 2nd team - clearly |
| Even if they announced the coach, sometimes it changes...classic bait and switch as well. |
1st team too. crazy. |
We're on our third coach of the year on a first team (RL level). |
| I would want to know why the current coach is leaving. |
Depends what other offers you have |
| Why don't you name the team and level? maybe someone has the insider info on why the coach is leaving. |
Yes +1 If the Coach listed is the Tech Director, Executive Director or Director of Coaches, i.e. someone who might be overqualified and listed as a Coach for "multiple teams". That is a red flag and they are still trying to hire the right coach for next year, but they have to list someone as Coach for next year. In our case we ended up getting a terrible coach in August. It was too late and we had a crap year. But what can you do but train on our own and sign up for skills clinics on the side. |
Herndon? |
+1 |
VDA has no coach slate for 2026 |
Overqualified hahaahahhha. Guys…none of these people are overqualified to coach your kid. This is American youth soccer… |
