At the end or beginning?

I’ve experienced every single peri symptom you could imagine (for 8 years). Even my cholesterol which is always normal went up slightly in the last 2 years.

Doctors have had mixed perspectives. Some said “yes, you are probably in peri” others have said “no irregular periods yet, you are not there yet”. The past 3 years my periods have been about 25-ish days apart.

I’m now 45 and the past two months my periods have been irregular. I spotted 10 days after my period in Jan. Then was a week late this past time. I’m two weeks out from my last period and I just got a full period again.

Anyone start with years of symptoms, then a short bout of irregular periods then it went away?

My mom said she had two irregular periods then it went away completely. I’m hopeful this is the case for me and I’m not in store for 5-7 more years of this…. I can’t take it!

This seems normal to early for your age. I had irregular periods with occasional symptoms at around 50. I'm almost 54 and have gone 7 months and then 11 months without periods, plus hot flashes, night sweats and some brain fog for the last two years.

Safe to assume you are in peri. But peri can last for ten years. My uneducated guess is that you have a few more years of this. Get HRT if you can.
