True story - missed a call, got the automated AI notes from zoom. The transcript was full of name calling, sh-t talk, and other things you probably wouldn’t want your boss, bosses boss to know.
Just saying: turn off your AI notetaker if you are going to be an a-hole. |
|
What? You missed the call you were invited to and accepted, and since you accepted, you got call notes?
We're not allowed to use AI notes at my employer. But it was just 2 people in a call and Person C didn't join so they talked smack about Person C? Amazing. Thanks AI! |
| Reason #5 why we aren’t allowed to use AI notes for calls. |
Just don't $h1t talk, that's the real lesson. Always assume you are being surveilled and recorded, even more so on any tele meeting or conference call, it's 2026 after all. That is amateur hour |
| So what did they say? Don't leave us hanging. |
Maybe they were hallucinations. Are your feelings hurt? Now you know what they really think about you, at least. |
|
Can someone explain what the AI notetaker means?
I see the messages like - if you want to opt out type something like "stop read" in the chat. Does that deactivate someone else's note taker? Even if I'm just a participant and not the host? |
AI notetaker is automated transcriber for n zoom or equivalent. Some company plans make you “opt out” of recording instead of opt in. It automatically generates a summary of the call with action item, and it also records every word and identifies who said it - minute by minute. |
| I have no idea if we use AI notes, but we would never talk sh-t about anybody in a work meeting. If we were to do that, it would be offline, by text message, which I know some people do, but I never participate in those. OP, those people must be idiots! |
So if I type in the chat "stop read" does it turn off the transcriber for the entire meeting? |
| No it doesn’t. You are recorded until you log off. Google granola notetaking and hr nightmare. There are articles |
| As a fed I just always assume anything I say may be recorded. |
| How is this any different from Teams calls being recorded? |
