Hello Everyone,
My son’s (2.5 y/o) preschool is requesting that we find him an aide to shadow him in class. Does anyone have any recommendations ? Thank you! |

| Is there a specific reason for their request? is it for behavior related? task related? Figuring out what they want a shadow to do will help with recommendations |

| We got an ABA aide (RBT) for our ASD preschooler through the Language and Behavior Center in Silver Spring. They didn't a lot of specific ABA training, they mainly helped him calm down when upset, helped with potty training, and helped mediate interactions with the other kids. Insurance covered a lot of the cost because we had an ASD diagnosis. |

My child had an ASD diagnosis, so we were able to get a 1:1 aide for 4 hours a day at daycare through an ABA company. Insurance covered it.
I would ask the preschool why they are requesting this, so you can follow up accordingly. |
