HSPT Practice Examinations

| I have heard that some HS Catholic schools give practice HSPT examinations to current 7th graders. Does any one know about this? |

| Yes, O’Connell offers this in the spring of 7th grade. I would call the school and ask about it. It was offered last year but we found out about it after the spots were already full. It’s great to get a baseline score before 8th grade. |

| DC’s (non-Catholic) k-8 gives all the students access to TestInnovators starting in late 7th through 8th for test prep for both SSAT and HSPT. DC liked the platform and found it useful. Practice tests as well as useful result analysis and practice problems that you can target based on the results. |

| O Connell did one in May last year. Ireton in June right after school got out. PVI had 2 dates, at least one later in the summer (maybe July). I would just check their websites periodically. |

| We read through a HSPT book over the summer and our school helped the kids study over a month or 2 in 8th grade before the test. There are some camps and prep classes if you think your child needs a little extra preparation, but we were fine without that. |
