I’m sick of my current coffee and would love some recommendations.
I enjoy a bold, dark roast. “Robust”. I don’t know how else to describe it. I want to know I’m drinking coffee. I want it to slap me in the face, but also be flavorful. |
| I like illy |
| Cafe du monde |
| Ceremony |
| Try brewing Wegmans brand Espresso roast. It is deep and rich and much cheaper than many of the high end brands. There’s no bitterness. |
| We had a couple we really liked at Trader Joe but they’ve recently gone AWOL due to tariffs I guess. We’ve switched to Chesapeake Coffee River’s Edge and Counter Culture dark roast. I used to buy Peet’s Major Dickason at Costco until the taste changed for the worse. |
| I like Boyfriend Blend at Mom's |
|
Peet’s Major Dickason is my daily.
OP, how are you making your coffee? |
| Mom’s private label. Pour over. Great! |
| I roast my own. I buy the green coffee beans direct. |
+1 how you make coffee is just as important as what brand you use… |
| Kirkland signature dark roast whole bean coffee from Costco |
| I like the mayorga Cuban roast which I get at Costco. They have one called Muy Macho which might be the slap in the face you want. |
| Lavazza Espresso Italiano beans |
| As another person has said, more than the bean it's how you grind and brew makes the difference for a good cup of coffee |
