Any recommendations for something reasonably priced - in city or close-in Bethesda.

What do you mean by "reasonably priced"? And are you looking to go with just a significant other, with your nuclear family, or with 10+ people?

How many people? There's alot of good places in Bethesda to hold a 50th (lots of people seem to be having them).

That's a big party. IMO you're going to want something people can circulate, which is not a sit down. If you want something moderately priced, look at places that rent out space and them bring in a caterer. For example in the late spring or summer, Glen Echo.

Which is neither reasonably priced nor near Bethesda. Well done.

I haven't seen it myself but understand that Pinstripes at Pike and Rose has a rooftop area. May be call them to see if there's umbrellas, etc. They probably also have high tops so people can circulate instead of sitting. Thinking you can go 90's with chopped or fruit salads in carry cups and what about a mashed potato bar, mini burgers, mini shakes? Also there is a DC location, which may have same.

Yes. Definitely more cocktail/passed and/or buffet as opposed to sit down.
