Breastmilk squirting out, diaper smells, teething -- this is a book anyone who has had kids can relate to, and also happens to take place during a climate catastrophe and societal collapse. Wow, what an amazing book. I know it's been made into a movie but I don't understand how -- or why; the writing is what makes this dystopian novel one of a kind. It's like a long love poem to childbirth and new motherhood. Really amazing book to read. To watch? I don't see why.
