Federal citizen felony cases abandoned due to DHS operations in MN

Just a week ago, a 12 time convicted felon about to go to trial in a federal case (20 ln meth strapped to his leg) in Minnesota, but the US attorney's office simply dropped the case. Just 5 days later it was announced that a federal felony case for unlawful firearm possession. He had also been convicted in state charges in 2008 for unlawful firearm possession due to a previous (not identified in 2008 appeals decision) felony involving a crime of violence. According to the NYT more than a dozen prosecutors have left the US attorney's office since January.
