Head coverings?

Anonymous
There are various forms of head coverings women all over the world wear, including scarves, Amish kapp, Muslim hijab, Jewish mitpaḥat (or tichel), Christian nun habits or veils, the Indian dupatta or sari palu, etc.

Same way men have hats, turbans, topi, keffiyeh, cowboy hats, baseball caps, panama hats, Kippah/Yarmulke, kufi, fez, fedora, beanie etc.

Why fashion industry doesn't try to explore this area to make money? I feel like there is a lot of potential there.

Even for wigs, no global brand or elite house of fashion ever ventured into it.

The fashion industry has very much tapped into this. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Muslim women, for example, buy luxury silk hijabs. I don't know why you'd expect the nuns or the Amish women who purposefully live the lives of austerity to buy luxury items. Your whole premise is just wrong.

Saudi/Middle Eastern women wear designer veils (YSL etc).

I was thinking of some globally popular new hat. May be affordable and easy to wear good quality wigs at Costco or Sephora etc.

It's true that it doesn't seem to be culturally appropriate for western cultures and westernized cultures to wear head coverings all the time. The fashion industry makes hats for fun occasions, which is not at all the same sort of market as making quality religious coverings for Muslims.

With more awareness of skincare and increasing use of Tretinoin and C serum etc. we need more options to protect face to avoid slathering sunscreen every few hours.

The fashion industry IS exploring it. Wigs are a very specific business and not really something big fashion houses would tackle because materials sourcing and manufacturing are so different, but there are absolutely luxury, high end designers of wigs, by appointment only. Scarves, hijabs...you can buy a Lululemon or Nike hijab, luxury head scarves from all sorts of high end designers.

Hair thinning is a global issue, there should be easy to use affordable and good looking hair extensions at Macy's and Target.

I don't know about you, but Catholic nuns don't exactly scream fashion forward demographic to me ...
