Invite-only tryouts question

My son is interested in MLS Next AD. It seems like most of these clubs are doing invite-only ID sessions. My question is: are they really screening kids based on what is in the information form or just “inviting” everyone? For one club we never heard anything back, but for another we got an invitation. Just wondering if the invitation signals there is a legitimate shot, or if it’s just that everyone who filled out the form gets to attend at least one ID session.

Which clubs? Some are already full and others are essentially just getting started. That's probably what's driving your experience.

Only looking at clubs whose highest team is AD. This is for U13 age

Our experience at HD was that, yes, it was a screen but an invite meant a legitimate shot. I will say if you are invited to their Big ID session vs a practice with 1-2 outside players, it does feel different.
