Infertility Support and Discussion
First round of clomid days 3-7. Negative blood test last Friday on 13 DPO. I am almost 100% sure not pregnant. Have never been late to start AF. Should have started this past weekend based on past charts and history. I am 2 days late currently with not even a sign of spotting, but temp dropped way below coverline as to be expected yesterday. What gives? Is it common for clomid to cause late AF? How annoying if so.
Very normal to have a longer cycle on Clomid. It totally messes with things. Hopefully you will get your AF soon!!
Same thing happened to me the month I took Clomid. Sorry but hang in there.

Clomid delays ovulation somewhat, so it is normal for AF to be later too. Please make sure Clomid is the right plan for you. If you have never had a late AF, you are probably ovulating regularly even without Clomid, which means Clomid is really the wrong thing for you to be doing. Please talk to your RE.
OP here-thanks for the responses. As to the day I ovulated I did a trigger shot and I chart so I am almost certain of the day I ovulated. As for why I am on clomid if I ovulate on my own-we have unexplained infertility. We have one DS who is 3. On clomid I will produce more eggs that will be released with a trigger shot that will up my chances of getting pregnant. At least that is the way I understand it from the RE. I did not over respond and had two follicles on the clomid and no side effects. So, that is the story. I just hope I start soon so I can move on. Thanks again for the comments.
Just weighing in -- I was late on my second cycle of clomid but not the first. Was told it was normal.
