Restaurant recommendations in Frederick?

I’ve never been to Frederick but will be there for a show with girlfriends (we are in our 40s). Looking for a good place to get dinner and drinks beforehand in downtown Frederick, reservations preferred!

Wye Oak tavern at the visitation hotel. Delicious! Must try!

Other options if you cannot get into Wye Oak : hooch and banter. Tasting room. Wine kitchen.

I live here. All are amazing and fun options. Reservations recommended.

Cugino Forno is the best pizza I have had in many years. So so good. We drive through Frederick regularly to visit family in the midwest and always stop there now.

I’m very meh on the Voltaggio brothers restaurants (Wye Oak is one). Bad service and mediocre food these days, IMO. I wonder how closely they are involved. Volt back in the day was amazing.

I also recommend Wine Kitchen and Isabella's. Bloom Asian Haus and Sabor de Cuba are good as well. Olde Mother for a much more casual vibe (beer and burgers).

Wye Oak is all right - expensive, some dishes are interesting but a lot are the "fancy southern" style you get everywhere around here. Brewer's Alley has a nice roof deck but the food is pretty mid.

Wine Kitchen on the creek. The food is wonderful and there are nice views of the creek in the snow in the front room.
