Senior year transcripts--first semester grades

Anonymous
DD's first semester grades/transcripts were sent yesterday, Feb. 20 to her RD colleges. Is that late? The semester ended Jan 30. I was curious when other RD applicants had theirs sent. She attends a NOVA public.

My kid attends private and his semester ended on the last day before winter break. Transcripts were sent end of January. One month processing time seems normal. Kid won’t be penalized.

How long after your high school submitted did it take before it showed in the portal. It's been almost 2 weeks and DC's portals do not show it.

Considering VT already released Regular Decision results, it dies sound late. Most kids who apply RD do so to have their semester grades improve their GPA/ show they can handle rigor. This area as a whole seems to be penalized by starting closer to Labor Day. It impacts AP exam prep/ amount of content that can be covered in prior to exams, college admissions, etc. Schools elsewhere in the country start at the beginning of August. I wonder if we will start to see a shift away from Labor Day starts as colleges release decisions earlier and earlier.

This is OP. They showed up in the portal within 24 hours.

VT doesn’t consider senior year grades.

Sounds late but I’m sure RD colleges are used to that.
