I hear some HG clubs may be dropping their MLS tier 2 team and just doing NPL for their second team. So they will have MLSN1 but not 2.

What would be the point of dropping AD for NPL? I doubt the league would even allow it. You heard wrong.

When AD was rolled out (nameless) - they mandated all HG clubs put forth an AD team.

If anything I'd expect them to do a deal and add a NPL team to the stack, to create a clear hierarchy that could later be merged in with ECNL boys.

lol don’t disparage NCSL! ECNL was once a beast. Now it’s washed up with a couple of anchor teams that have 14 or so pud teams to beat up on every year.
