| I’m wondering whether anyone has a Tesla Model Y with a third row and knows whether a car seat could fit back there, and if so, which one? I’d like to be able to carpool more of DC’s 4-5yo friends so would like a car seat that’s easy to install. |
| I would not let my kid ride in that car in a carseat. |
| I don't let me kid drive in teslas |
| Anyone who actually drives a Model Y? |
| Just use a backless booster seat? It should fit in any car backseat. That is what we used for occasional rides for short distances. |
A model X? |
No, a Model Y. Some have third rows you can put up. But they are tight so make sure about a car seat back there. |
| A car seat will fit back there. Once your kiddos legs grow longer, they’ll only be able to sit in the third row sideways. It has very little room back there. |

The third row seats don't have LATCH connectors, so you need a seatbelt-based booster. We picked up cheap ones at Target and they've been fine for our older kids. The littles get the second row.
Having the middle folded down makes buckling the belts difficult, so I found some extensions that raise the buckle part up above the seat level. |
