Feedback on Capitol City Circus summer camp

Hi I have two super active kids and am looking to fill out a couple more weeks of summer camp. I came across the circus school camp online but am wondering if anyone on here has unvarnished reviews. It sounds like something my kids would enjoy but I have zero experience with this sort of activity and don't know how to judge quality.

It's super expensive for camp -- $830 for the week. I assume because of the equipment is expensive? Or do they have to staff more people because of the kind of stuff they do? Like I said, I'm clueless.

But I'm in a bind with scheduling and need super physical camps for my kids (not sitting around doing crafts).

Is it worth it? Is it dangerous? What is the staff like? TIA for any intel.

We were signed up two years ago but my kid got injured right before camp and was in a cast, so we had to pull out. The camp was super understanding and said they had a long waitlist, so it was no problem and they refunded our money. I’ve meant to circle back and sign up again, but the timing hasn’t worked out for us. It looks like it’s already all waitlist for this summer already, so I’m not sure it’s a realistic option for you. I’ve only heard good things!

Huh, there was one week with spots this morning, I guess they filled. Oh well. I was iffy on the price anyway.

My kids do this camp every summer and love it. It’s extremely well run and it’s amazing what they accomplish in a week. No experience needed. It’s worth the money in my opinion.

OP, register with https://www.goplaydc.org/ and let them know you are interested in trapeze class. The class is free and it's a good way to see if circus school is something your kids would enjoy next summer.
