Photoshopping holiday card to include baby and dogs

Anonymous
We've been terrible about sending out photos of our baby and we really wanted to do a cute holiday card with the baby (10 months old) and our two dogs. The likelihood of getting a decent picture of all three of them in one place is slim to none. Is it sketchy if we photoshop them together? Who would be able to do this for me in a way that wasn't obvious?

I'd either make it obviously photoshopped (in a humorous way, perhaps), include separate photos of baby and dogs, or use just a photo of the baby.

I've done this for the past 2 years with my 3 kids and 2 dogs and you can't even tell -- they look great.

Unless you're really good at it just do it with paint brush and crack a joke. You'll get wonderful response.

I don't think it's a big decision either way, but I can't imagine many of your friends care to see pictures of your dogs.

Take a picture of the baby, holding a picture of the dogs, who have a picture of the baby or of you (like the credits of "Modern Family")

Just select an online holiday card option (from Kodak, Costco, whatever, they all have them) that allow for various pictures. You can try to get everyone in one picture and see if it works, but I never succeeded. And FWIW, I do like seeing pictures of others' dogs and think it's nice that you're including them.

OP here. Thank you so much for your unsolicited response to a question I didn't ask. Your opinion means so much. Because you said this I am going to leave the dogs off the holiday card and in fact I might get rid of them altogether.

If you're good at photoshop (or know someone who is) then it can be done. I did it for a friend when we couldn't get a good picture of all 4 of her kids.
If you don't know anyone that can photoshop, I think getting a card with options for multiple pictures can be just as cute (same friend did that the previous year).

OP, ignore this asshole. I love it when people include their pets on holiday cards!

Include separate pictures or hire a professional photographer.

It's not hard to photoshop however you must take it in exactly the same lighting condition or it's super obvious. When I take pictures of my kids I put them in position and then take a whole bunch in a row, then I am able to swap heads and you can't tell. In different spots though it will be very obvious.
