MOCO: Looking to Develop Elementary-Aged DS and DD

I’m looking for some recommendations for Spring basketball teams for my kids. My son is in 5th grade and my daughter is in 2nd grade, and both are very passionate about the game and eager to keep improving.

We’re located in Montgomery County, and are open to traveling within the Gaithersburg, Rockville, Potomac, and Bethesda area for the right opportunity.

They both currently play on their rec teams and also train with Tru2Form Basketball. My daughter is one of the strongest players on both of her teams, and my son is a standout in rec and continuing to grow and learn a lot through Tru2Form.

We’re looking for a team or program that really emphasizes fundamentals, basketball IQ, and skill development — while still being supportive and appropriately competitive. Strong, positive coaching is very important to us, along with a team culture that includes kind, respectful kids and families.

If anyone has recommendations for teams, clubs, or trainers that focus on development, sportsmanship, and long-term growth, I’d love to hear them. Thank you so much!
