I am beyond freaking out because I have two colleagues with ocular melanoma, which is supposedly rare but maybe not. I am going for my annual appt tmr, eyes dilated, have been having some floaters lately. I feel awful and jittery and I almost want to cancel.
Floaters are from age and you only see them until your brain adapts. I had an eye biopsy during COVID, but it was benign. Just get regular checkups. Like all screening, that's your best bet. |
Avoiding the doctor doesn't prevent the diagnosis, just delays it. Go to the appointment.
Also, start taking eye vitamins. Everyone gets old eyes and these really help according to eye docs. Lutein.
It's very rare. Chill out.
