| Is it likely specifically me having a weakened immune system (have been undergoing a lot of stress and late nights) or have there actually been a lot of nasty viruses going around this winter? I feel like I’ve been sick more than not sick since mid-December, and that’s not normal for me. In December I came down with a cold that turned into a cough that lingered for weeks, then got a stomach bug, and then last week I got another stomach bug and another cold. It did seem like a LOT of people were sick around the holidays, like more than usual. |
| CDC has viewable data for RSV, flu, and Covid levels: https://www.cdc.gov/respiratory-viruses/data/activity-levels.html. |
| I’ve actually been less sick than last year. One nasty cold, but avoided the flu that took my DH down for a week. |
| covid and flu are really high same with norovirus. |
Hmm, that link doesn't work for me. Is it one of the many data the cdc has cut, or do they still report somewhere? |
Same here. I got a mild cold after Halloween... but have been healthy since then, knock on wood. No flu, covid, norovirus, etc. I'm not taking any special precautious - and go to them 4-5x a week during busy times. Here's hoping I don't jinx it. I had some rough bugs last year though - so maybe we all just fluctuate good/bad years. |
| No actually, and I've traveled by plane, gone to indoor sporting events, etc. |
| Yes in our house. |
Do you have kids in school bringing home bugs? |
| Yes, I got sick around Jan 24 (it was right around the storm/ice) with what was probably rsv. Recovered a week later. Got covid around Feb 10. Still sick. |
| Yes, it's been practically non-stop since late December. Also lots of late nights and stress. |
Same. Also hasn’t helped that I started perimenopause and had a disruption in receiving my HRT due to a National shortage. |
| Yes, and I am in physical therapy now due to deconditioning from too much bed rest. Yuck. |
| Maybe a mild cold? Otherwise not sick this year for anyone in my family. |
You're asking for it. |
