Garrett County goes from Virtual to in-person President's Day at the last minute.

My in laws live in Garrett County and have a ES student. The only way they can effectively communicate with their teacher is via her personal Facebook (my BIL doesn't have a FB and therefore, can't email her). The admin dismisses my nephews needs for accommodations. It's really a mess, but today was the worst offender.

They only missed 2 days from the ice storm. They were going to do a virtual day today, for President's Day, a federal holiday, but this morning at 5:30am, they sent out an email to accounce they are now in person. I couldn't believe it so I checked the website and sure enough, it was announced early this morning.

How does that work for busses? Teachers and admin out of the area? What a mess! If you live there, what's the feedback on this?

If you don't believe me....

Oh, Garrett County is the western most county in Maryland, like where Deep Creek Lake is.

Helping in another county? What? They should have offered more notice than 2 hours.
