| Went to a job interview last week. They seemed very enthusiastic. They even talked about hours and gave me a link to open an account for the mandatory training. Now it is Monday, they did not contact my references yet, I did not receive any kind of written offer or any other type of communications, they did not request the ssn to run the background check, the training account can be created but cannot access content (plus I am not sure if there is a point doing training without being hired officially). Very confused. The place is not closed for federal holiday. Any feedback? |

These things take time - it hasn’t even been a week. You can check in with the recruiter though - tell them you remain very interested in the position. If no response, do it again in a week.
Weird that they gave you the training link. Don’t do any training until they’re paying you. |

It’s always slower than you think. There may be some HR boxes that need checking and that person is out. They may need to finish prescheduled interviews even if they’ve already decided you’re perfect. They may be negotiating your salary with whoever makes those decisions. The person who does the reference checks may be out with flu. The big Johnson Report may be due and it’s all-hands-on-deck at the moment.
Good luck and report back to us! |
