Dress up or not dressing up

Anonymous
Some parents allow their daughters to dress up with clothing and accessories in fun or sparkle color/style, and I am one of them. As long as it is not anything inappropriate or too overboard, I am fine with it. I do not allow real makeup unless ballet recital days.

I know a dad (my BIL) does not allow his only daughter dressing up in any fun or sparkle color/style because he thinks it is unnecessary and inappropriate. He is conversative, and he thinks her role is to be a a student and should not dress up to get any uncessary attention or distraction from her schoolwork. He expresses concern to me that he needs to sign her up with self defense class in case she gets bullied by boys in any ways. Nothing really happens. He wants to hide his daughter's beauty. It is ironic that SIL loves to dress up and wears a lot of makeup. Do you allow your daughters to dress up cute and pretty in their own ways? I wonder if my BIL is worrying too much or he is trying his best to prevent possible dating when she goes to MS/HS.

I feel like AI writes these posts but I would also like that bot to run these posts through AI to fix the errors.

It’s not AI I don’t think it’s the same poster who posts frequently.

To answer the question, I would let any gender child dress up if they wanted to. As long as they are a good and kind person I don’t care what they want to wear.
