| I am going on a long business trip and the evening attire will be somewhat dressy. I am trying to find a pair of shoes that are comfortable as I’ll be mingling each night and twill match most of my outfits. I have several dresses that have navy in them and a couple of black dresses. I can’t seem to find the perfect shoe. The event is taking place in France in the late spring would look some help. |
| Sorry for all of the typos… used voice text and didn’t have on my glasses😜 |

I hear you on the flats. Maybe Birdies? https://birdies.com/collections/womens-flats
The Madewell Mylie ballet flats are also comfortable, not sure if that is what you are looking for. |
| I just wear flats with everything. |
|
I'd bring a pair of navy shoes and a pair of black shoes rather than trying to make only 1 pair work. If you must bring one pair I think black is best.
I also don't see where you requested flats? Maybe bring one pair of pointed toe soft flats in navy and a dressier pair of black heels. I love Sofft for this. https://www.sofftshoe.com/en/anna-marie-35980.html?dwvar_35980_color=Black%20Patent&dwvar_35980_width=M https://www.sofftshoe.com/en/sadie-35266.html?dwvar_35266_color=Black&dwvar_35266_width=M |
| I find that tan and oxblood are good colors for flats that can go with black and navy. |
I wouldn't wear flats the entire time. I love the second pair of soffit shoes. I have never worn them, but I'm going to order. Low heel, look comfortable, stylish in terms of business attire. |
| Thanks for responses- I should have specified no flats. I’ll wear some sort of heel- just not more than 2”. I’m 5’3” so like a little heel. The sofft heel posted above might be good option. Also open to open toe. |

Might work - too casual?? |
| I find “nude” (whatever color that is for you) shoes go best with navy AND black. I’m olive skinned and usually take camel-colored shoes on business trips because they go with everything. |
DP Sorry but those are all awful - shoe types I avoid like the plague. I would tend to go for slightly chunky Mary Jane’s - maybe even slightly platform Mary Jane’s - mainly because I have extremely muscular legs and they look better on me. The type of flats you recommend only look good on stick women with no muscle or bottom. . . . And before you say it I’m 5’4” and 115 lbs - so, no, I’m not fat - I’m muscular and dress for my body. |

Check out ecco.
Or maybe some nicely cut loafers, or cap toe low heeled pumps. Maybe Ferragamo? |
Those look nice and would work with most dresses... Buy some and see if comfortable. |
| Patent Ferragamos are my go-to. |

I find something like this most comfortable, but also depends on flexibility and softness 1-1.5 inches, and good for so best to try in person rather than order online. Check “comfort” brands: Clark’s, aeroseles, naturalizer. Not the most fashion forward but comfortable.
