Gift for grad school degree?

What do you get your child for completing graduate school? Spouse wants to mark the occasion with something special but doesn't have any ideas as to what. If you've been-there-done-that, what gift did you get for your child. Budget, under $500

Ask your kid if they want a diploma frame.

They are not for everybody. But some people like them.

Kid is taking a job at a place they did an internship at, and don't need any work clothing (very casual), and already have a laptop. If people didnt have cell phones, I'd think a nice watch, but kids today don't wear watches (well, ours don't). I will suggest the framed diploma to my spouse and see how it lands. Am open to other ideas as well

Are you attending the graduation? A bouquet is nice for that.

I like giving a high-quality leather folder that holds a pen, a legal pad, etc. You could also see if child wants a “grown-up” high quality office bag, which can be spendy and which your child should pick out for themselves, or professional backpack.
