I didn’t realize this would stain so badly. I’ve tried washing twice, once with oxyclean stain remover in warm water (ugh I hope I didn’t set it) then once on cold with rubbing alcohol (I didn’t leave it on the stain for long, though, because I was worried it would remove color from the fabric). Should I just take it to the dry cleaner? Could they remove it?
Rubbing alcohol over and over with scrubbing is usually the best way to get rid of any ink stains. You need a lot of it and it takes time. My husband washed and dried a pen inside his uniform blouse and I was able to salvage it with rubbing alcohol but like and entire bottle. You have to really saturate then scrub then pour more on.
Also, for any stain start with cold water wash only and do not put into dryer until stain is verified gone.
