If you have stayed somewhere in Savannah that you loved, I would greatly appreciate your recommendation. I would prefer a place with a great view, or that is super convenient, or has a great pool, etc — just something that makes it out stand out.
The Alida - good location, good food and nice pool
Hilton garden inn Savannah
Not super top of the line but we enjoyed the Kimpton.
Not luxury by any means but we stayed at the homewood suites on river street in a river view suite with balcony right on the river to watch the ships. We could walk to tons of stuff, the staff was so nice and the room was incredibly clean. There was a rooftop pool but we didn’t use it. Might have been a big small

I like the Drayton. It is 1/2 block from the River Walk. Wine upon arrival. Rooms are small but bathrooms are large and beautiful. Get the option that includes breakfast. Breakfast is sit down order from a menu. The Drayton is part of the Hilton Honors group.
I've also stayed at Perry Lane. I think the Drayton location is better. I also like the Drayton breakfast better than the Perry Lane breakfast. The Perry Lane breakfast is high society and overdone. You get wine on arrival here too. Rooms are larger than the Drayton. You also have use of a car and driver to take you and drop you off places within several miles. |
I stayed in the Marshall House, right in the historic district. easily walkable to everything in the city. had lovely robes and a little happy hour in the parlor every night. I didn't eat any meals there.
Yuck
I also enjoyed Marshall House, liked the historic feel and fireplace in my room.
We just stayed at the Forsythe Park inn. I prefer staying outside of downtown (although it is an easy walk to there) and closer to the park and historic homes. It had a nice back patio, a good breakfast, and a daily cocktail hour. We really liked it.

Hotel Bardo is fantastic
