| Dryer shopping and looking at the LG models that are top picks in Consumer Reports. How well does the steam function work if you've got a dryer with this feature? |
| I just discovered this on my LG recently and I love it! |
| I have it and forget to use it. Yes, it's nice. |
| You can always just throw a wet washcloth in to a dryer that doesn't have that setting. |
| I am curious about this as well. I love the steam wash feature on the LG washer-amazing at getting out stains. |
| I never use the steam function on mine. |
| We never use it. Makes it more complicated. |
|
I’d never use it because the dryer is in the basement and the steamer is in my closet.
But if I had laundry on the bedroom floor, I might go for it. |
| My DH does most of our laundry (yay!) but sometimes forgets things in the dryer. The steam feature is his favorite as it quickly gets the wrinkles out of clean clothes that have sat in the dryer. We have an LG one - very easy to use. |
Same. I had the fancy LG and then we upgraded to speedqueens. If I leave clothes in the dryer overnight, I just fluff the next morning on a normal cycle and fold. If I needed to specifically steam a blouse or shirt for an occasion I guess I would look up the settings, or throw in a damp washcloth as someone said upthread. Probably the latter. We tend to only wear wrinkle-free clothes I guess! |
Perfect, this is exactly the info I needed. |
I love the steam feature, I hate to iron, don’t own a steamer and find that the steam refresh setting works way better than a wet wash cloth. I wouldn’t ever buy a dryer without it again. |
| We used the steam feature a lot with little kids. It was great for cleaning stuffed animals! |
| Yes I use it a lot. Would not consider a dryer without it. |
| Thanks all, we ordered the dryer and it will be delivered in a couple of days. |
