Surrogate mom

It is my kid's friend mom. I was not paying too much attention what she said and I did not get it what it meant when she said that's not her baby when she is due soon with a big belly. She already has 2 kids of her own, and I said congrats and something related to post pregancy. At the end, she tells me that she is a surrogate mom, abd that is not her baby. I was like okay........and dead science. I do not know the reason behind, but I wish I have put my head in the sand. Good thing that I did not ask about sibling rivalry or other questions. It was awkward because I did not have idea what I should say or respond. I have heard of surrogate story on internet only, but I have never met a real life experience. If I know that, I should have said nothing and not paying attention too much to her belly. A vent post from me not being sensitive.....

You're fine op. She probably gets that all the time. I hope we don't ever get so woke that we can't assume a pregnant woman is carrying her own child.

It’s fine. I say this as someone who used a surrogate. It’s messy and even doctors got confused.

Your post is strange. She's either doing it for the money or to help someone close to her. I think its fine to do surrogacy but they need to put limits on what attorney's and agencies can charge as that is where there is a huge money grab.
