We’re pretty confident dd is going to get in to her brother’s hs, but it’s still an exciting time .

What schools are issuing notifications today?
And I agree, good luck all! |
| I thought most schools notified in early March. |
I think all the NoVA diocesan schools are, and I know Seton in Mannassas is too. |
For high school I mean. I think the K-8s are on a different schedule. |
Bishop O’Connell issues notifications today. The other schools to which my DC applied notify on 2/27. Good luck to everyone waiting to hear! FWIW, in previous years, O’Connell sent the acceptance email at around 3 pm. |

PVI issues notifications today as well.
Good luck to everyone!! |
| Oakcrest as well. |
| This is odd. What if a student applied to some of these schools who are releasing today, and a Catholic school like Stone Ridge that doesn't release until 2/27? Catholic schools used to release a week early so there was some overlap with the secular schools so families could make an informed decision. |
Enrollment decisions aren’t due until March. |
That's good to know. Most schools when my daughter applied a few years back only gave 2 weeks to enroll once the acceptances were out. |
Any surprises for anyone? Dd got into all the diocesan schools she applied to, but not Seton in Mannassas. We knew that one was a long shot. I think they get way more applicants than they have space for, unfortunately. Unfortunate for dd anyway. Good for them .

| It seems like the kids at my DD’s NOVA k-8 Catholic school fared well. DD heard about 1 classmate who was waitlisted from one school, and another who was denied admission from BOC, but otherwise, everyone is in. My understanding is the child who was denied admission had an HSPT score around 30th percentile, so I imagine the result was not a surprise to their family. |
